Who is Eligible for Private Shingles Vaccination?

Adults aged 18 and over who are at increased risk of shingles due to a weakened immune system or other medical conditions.

During your private consultation with our pharmacist, we will thoroughly assess your medical history and discuss your individual suitability for the vaccine. This ensures the vaccination is safe and appropriate for you.

Please Note:

The NHS provides the shingles vaccine to specific age groups and individuals with severely weakened immune systems. Our private service is an alternative for those who do not meet the NHS eligibility criteria, or prefer to be vaccinated sooner. We do not offer the NHS shingles vaccination service.

2 Vaccine Administration :

The Shingrix vaccine is administered as an injection, usually into your upper arm. A full course requires two doses, given between 2 and 6 months apart (or as advised by the pharmacist based on your individual circumstances). It's crucial to complete both doses for optimal protection.

3 Aftercare Information :

We'll provide you with comprehensive aftercare advice and explain any potential mild side effects, which are usually short-lived and resolve within a few days (e.g., soreness at the injection site, headache, muscle aches).
